Motor vehicle inspection is mandatory in Kenya for commercial vehicles, PSVs, and private vehicles changing category. Here is the step-by-step procedure:

1. Required Documents & Items:

• Vehicle Registration Number (Number Plate)
• Owner National ID Number and KRA PIN
• Active TIMS / eCitizen account
• Two safety warning triangles and functional fire extinguisher on inspection day

2. Step-by-Step Online Booking:

1. Log into the NTSA portal via eCitizen.
2. Select Motor Vehicle Inspection and pick your vehicle registration.
3. Select your preferred inspection center (e.g. Likoni Road Nairobi, Thika, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu).
4. Choose an available calendar slot date and time.
5. Generate the eCitizen payment invoice and pay via M-Pesa.
6. Download and print your Inspection Booking Slip.

The Social Health Authority (SHA) replaces NHIF. Every Kenyan household must be registered under SHA to access hospital care.

1. Adding Dependants (Spouse & Children):

• Spouse: Requires spouse's National ID copy and Marriage Certificate or sworn affidavit.
• Children: Requires Birth Certificates or official Birth Notification slips.

The Certificate of Good Conduct is issued by the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) via eCitizen.

Key Steps:

1. Log into your eCitizen account and select Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
2. Choose Police Clearance Certificate application.
3. Select fingerprint capture location (e.g. DCI Headquarters Mazingira House or local Huduma Centre).
4. Pay government fee of KES 1,050 via eCitizen Paybill.
5. Download the C24 Fingerprint Form and payment receipt to carry on your appointment date.
